Establishment of the Project office for coordinating development and implementing reforms in Ukraine will secure practical implementation of social transformations, deems Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.  

According to press secretary of the Chairperson of the Parliament Dmytro Stoliarchuk, Volodymyr Groysman said this commenting on information concerning establishment of the Project Office and announcement of competition for the post of manager of this institution.

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the National Council of Reforms is an efficient platform for discussing strategies for reforming Ukraine and reaching a compromise on all important issues pertaining to country’s development. He expressed confidence that the Project Office will secure practical implementation of the elaborated strategies for reforming different spheres of country’s life, informed the press secretary.

ON ELABORATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF REFORMS

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Executive Committee for Reforms announce a competition for the post of manager of the Project office for coordinating elaboration and implementation of reforms.   

Today Ukraine faces significant institutional and structural challenges. With a view of consolidating and coordinating efforts on holding reforms, the National Council of Reforms and Executive Committee for Reforms were established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine in July 2014. The Project office for coordinating elaboration and implementation of reforms (PO) is established to support the activity of these bodies.

The main functions of PO are as follows: provide coordination, analytical and communication support and assistance in strategic planning in the course of elaboration of plans for specific reforms and monitoring their implementation. 

PO Manager is expected to begin their activity in February 2015, and it shall last for 12 months, given the possibility of continuing the activity for another 12 months.
